The Gantrans Journey

The company was founded in 1963 by Mr. Ganes Pillay who grew the company from a single unit to a current fleet complement of over 180 vehicles.

Acquisitions of new tankers together with a strong focus on staff development, training and safety gave birth to the company’s Tanker Division.

The company is a family-owned and managed business, with its head office based in Jacobs, Durban with satellite offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Together with a team of experienced and well-trained drivers and a fleet of distinctive vehicles, GanTrans is known for its commitment and reliability. Strong family values, integrity and transparency remain the corner stones of the GanTrans ethos. Customer satisfaction and cutting-edge road transport technology are the driving forces of the organization.
